Joke With the ‘L’

July 26th, 2006 by kennyng77

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking about L license, it’s all about
name of fruits. Pass few days I was joking with some friends to name
out all the fruits which start with L alphabet. They really have a good
sense of humour and say out all the fruits name such as…

  1. Limau/Lime (this one ok la)
  2. Langsat (ok also la)
  3. Lu-Lian (haha… it’s chinese slang of Durian)
  4. Lambutan (again another chinese slang of Rambutan)
  5. Luku (I think should be Duku)
  6. Lapple (this one I laugh till stomachache… Apple la)
  7. Langgis (manggis la oik!)
  8. Lorange (hahaha… again , orange add with L)
  9. Langka (sound like Sri Langka… lol… Nangka la)
  10. Lembikai (they really have tongue problems… Tembikai it means)
  11. Lapes (Grapes become Lapes…. wakakakaka)
  12. Lesberry (Lesbian with beer berry? No no no… it’s Resberry)
  13. Laibina (Ribena drink… they said can count in coz made from fruits also)
  14. Lanana (wahahaha… it’s Banana)
  15. Laici (eh… this one ok)

Lhey Leally Lracy Lah…. (They Really Crazy Lah) hahahaha… Don’t Laugh till you Laosai (Diarrhoea)!

If you have any others funny fruits name start with L please do add-in in the comment. Thank you.

Goodbye Syd Barrett… :(

July 11th, 2006 by kennyng77

This morning when I drove my car to work, suddenly I heard a shocking and bad news from radio said that Syd Barrett has passed away!!! At 1st I can’t believe it… I thought the DJs were kidding because they like to joke early morning show. Then I heard their voice also sound gloomy… I shouted in my heart… SHIT!!! After that they played a song by (Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here) on air… this song was specially written by Pink Floyd to dedicate Syd after he left the band. I was holding my tears so bad when listen to it… this song really touching.

I remember last year at Live8… Pink Floyd reunion to perform on the concert, when they play ‘Wish You Were Here’… Roger Waters stand front and said… "It’s actually quite emotional,
standing up here with these three guys after all these years. Standing
to be counted with the rest of you. Anyway, we’re doing this for
everyone who’s not here, particularly, of course for Syd."
Well… that was the most touching moment for everyone.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond… Syd. His death is a major loss to the music community. Whitout you, there is no Pink Floyd… without Pink Floyd, there is no great music in this planet… without music, there is no more life to me.

….and I am not frightened of dying, any time will do,
I dont mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
Theres no reason for it, youve gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying….

- The Great Gig In The Sky - Pink Floyd -

Shine On You Crazy Diamond… by Pink Floyd

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there’s a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught in the cross fire of childhood and stardom,
blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger,
you legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter,
you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Nobody knows where you are
How near or How Far
Shine on You crazy Diamond

How more many more layers
Will there be drawn in you there
Shine on You crazy in Diamond

And we’ll bask in the shadow
Of Yesterday’s triumph
Sail on the steel breeze
Come on you butcher, you winner and loser, you miner of truth and delusion
And shine!

Thank you Syd… Goodbye Syd…

Finally… The End of My Lecture

July 1st, 2006 by kennyng77

It’s 12.15pm and finally I woke up after watching World Cup 2006 quarter final match between Argentina vs Germany (I nearly get heart attack as I always support Germany) and Italy vs Ukraine. I felt so lazy to get up as I still felt blur… suddenly I recalled… Hey!!! It’s my final day lecture after struggled about 5 years for my part time degree in Civil Engineering at UTM. So I quickly jump up and get myself ready for my final lecture. As usual my lecture only on weekend… Saturday from 2pm till late evening and Sunday from 8.30am till 4pm. Imagine I was doing for this past 5 years without own sweet time for weekend.

I was just right on time reached my campus… usually I’ll late at least 30 mins… hahaha. As living in KL always battle with the traffic, I never reach on time for my lecture. When I entered the lecture hall… I was so motivated, I manage to pay attention for the whole day lecture, amazing! Some of my classmates they knew It’s my final lecture and came to me and congrat me as they still have few semester to go. At the final hour of the lecture… my lecturer gave us a open book test, then my lecturer wanted to leave earlier, so he decided to ask us pass it by post, but I was managed to finish it on time and pass it up, supprisingly… I was the 1st person who pass it up.

So… it’s time for the lecture dismiss… suddenly I felt so hard feeling to leave the lecture hall, I suppost to feel happy but I do not have it on that time, I know I’ll miss the moment together with my classmates, lecturers… now I just waiting for my final exam on 9th July 2006 which is World Cup 2006 final match too… what a date! But my exam is on morning, the final match is on midnight.

Now… I don’t know what I gonna do after this, maybe I’m use to have ‘no life’ for my entire 5 years. I think I’ll gonna spend my lazy weekend after this… I don’t think I gonna further to Master level anymore as my vitmain M (Money) is damn dry up due to part time studying… part of it I really feel tired already. Maybe it’s time for me to get a life partner? I don’t know… I leave it on fate.

So… goodbye UTM… I really appreciate on my parents who support me, thanks to my classmates who share the work together and my lecturers.

Who’s The Idiot Driver/Car?!!!

June 29th, 2006 by kennyng77

Now days I’m damn tulan with the car’s horn around the place I stay here, every evening I can hear some stupid + idiot + uncivilised drivers will keep on press their car horn, not only that… some will press on it non stop for more than 10 sec. As I living in KL which is concrete jungle in this contry, the sound surrounding the buildings will not transfer out easily. Why they never consider the residents nearby? How about for the babies, old people? This action really is a phsycological abuse to us. I really scolded TiuNiaSeng or Fuck!!! But I can’t do anything about it, just only sacrifice my body cel.

Ok… maybe they can’t wait their turn to move because of some emergency such as… give birth? lao sai? rushing go home for sex? late for date?… bla bla bla… I don’t care. Besides that, the double parking also cause the car can’t go out from parking lot, the car owner will keep on press the horn until the car who blocked them move away. I wonder what the hell of City (Shitty) Hall doing… why they never enforce the parking offenses here? Police Traffic also never take any action about it. Let’s put in this way for those have to make double parking… why not just put a notice at the windscreen so they can be contacted easily, or they not to pull their hand-break so the car can be push away and let other car to come out. Some of them will park for hours and don’t know where they went… really Kannineh right?. For me I hate to use car horn unless to warn somebody is unaware of possible accident or dangerous situations.

Alright… finish about car horn, now I wanna talk about car alarm… many of car owner do not aware that their car alarm were triggled when they not around. Imagine at night time, the car alarm triggled non stop till next morning… how to sleep like that? I have to wake up at 6.30am every morning for work and if this happened… I’ll be like dead man during working hour, really macipiak!!! When the battery totally run out, the car couldn’t start, then the owner will cry father cry mother (kao pek kao boh). There are some reasons that cause the car alarm triggle… car thief, car door never close properly, low battery, too sensitive or circuit board gone wrong? For the too sensitive type alarm, if lightning happen… the alarm will triggle. Not only that… if got any car exhaust too loud pass by… the alarm will triggle too. Sometimes I really feel wanted to go down and wack the windscreen… open the car hood and cut the alarm wirem, but I never did that… only cursing on the car owner. I think everyone here did the same thing as me.

I don’t know why now days so many car owner like to modify their car exhaust to racing type exhaust which really loud. I wonder how they can tahan the sound… Come on la… all the car racers also need to use ear plug to plug into their ears during the race, are they deaf or already dead? Even my new Proton Iswara Aeroback come with original sport type exhaust which approved by JPJ… but I still can’t stand with the sound noise when I drove back from KL to Penang… it really makes me headache, so I went to change to the normal type of exhaust that I feel more comfortble with it.

I don’t see any road in Malaysia can drive more than 110 km/h, why these people like to modify to sport type exhaust and have illegal racing during late night. They think they can win over Michael Schumacher or Alonso or Kimi Raikonnen? See see they may end up like Arton Senna… I really cursed them when I heard the noise when I was sleeping. Everytime I’ll wait some ‘bang’ sound during the illegal race… so I’ll run down and laugh on them. I wonder what happen to JPJ and Police Traffic again… how can they over look about it? Or they already ‘kao tim’ each other? Fuck it!!!

Ok… that’s enaugh for the car sound pollution, actually I was waken up by an idiot car’s exhaust sound and followed by car alarm… really macibai, tiuniaseng, makachaohai!!!

My Passion of Football…

June 15th, 2006 by kennyng77

I started watching football since I was standard 1, many of u will not believe it… how come a standard 1 kid understand what is football? Yes… I don’t even know what is that? All I know is just waiting for goals. Thanks to my uncle who influence me into this game, not only football… my uncle also introduced me 500cc GP (Now is MotoGP), Formula 1 and Badminton at the same time, so… don’t play play ah… :P

I remember me and my elder brother always choose our own favorite team and see who is the winner, we never bet for anything but just for fun. Then… I’ll choose the red colour team (Manchester United n Liverpool), he will always choose blue colour team (Everton). As we know during 80’s Liverpool and Everton were strong team and always fighting each other. So until now… my 1st choice team still Man Utd n 2nd is Liverpool… many will think I’m weird or something wrong, those who support Man Utd will hate Liverpool or other way round… but for me… that’s my passion about football, not because of 2 teams are enermy and I will hate one of it.

I try to refresh back the tournaments that time, there was no such EPL (English Premier League), only normal league, Road to Wembley was the F.A. Cup now after Wembley stadium was renovated till now still in progress… That time I don’t know what is European Champions League coz the TV never show it and the news also limited not like now with the information technologies.

1986… Mexico host the world cup, and that was my 1st world cup experience. I still remember I woke up in midnight with my dad, uncles and my bro to watch it… and shouted with them… really so enjoy it. Then followed by 1990… 1994… 1998… 2002… and now… 2006. For world team, my favorite team will be Germany all the time, and they had won the world cup in 1990 and that time was West Germany. Besides world cup… they also have Euro Cup… which I also interested…

I started play football since I entered secondary school and I was the midfielder & goal keeper… eh!!! Do u believe with my height can be goal keeper? Don’t play play ah… I can fly/dive very far that time… but now only can dive in badminton game like Foo Kok Keong… wakakaka (self praised again… don’t know how shame). I was selected into school team before, but because of racist problem… me and another 2 friends decided to quit the school team and we form our own team  and we did fight with our school team (sounds like My Team vs Malaysia Team) and u know what? We beat our school team!!! Things never been smooth… in 1994, I was playing with my elder brother’s team… accident happened, I was knocked down straight from my head n I was fainted for 10 mins long… after I woke up I lost memory!!! And it last about 3 days to recover… thank god, if not I won’t be able to write this blog. After the incident, I was banned (from my parents) to play football, but sometimes I curi-curi went to play… and I have the phobia, I’m not as brave as before anymore… so sad… then now… Badminton only my major sport I play till now.

Present day… football become like celebrities based sport. Footballers are become more famous than actors, somemore the spirits of playing also getting less compare to older days. I really disapointed with the modern day football. Most of the footballer are very good in acting such as… when know down will pretend painful… diving… act innocent when get fouled. That’s really irritating me, where is the real football fighting spirits? Then… rich football clubs using money power to buy good players, to me is like buy the trophies back, so what’s the different?

Wold cup fever??? Do u really think now days the fever is there? I don’t think so, to me is more like betting fever than world cup fever. If u not believe me ask urself or u can go to any coffee shops, mamak stores, pubs, or whatever places which we can watch the live matches, I can tell u more than 70% people there are betting! Even most of my friends they did… I remember in 1994, one of my friend losing $$$ and have to runaway to other state. Some still owe the debt till now… They told me without betting there is no excitement to watch the game… what the hell is this??? To me I watched football more than 20 years and I don’t even bet a single match before… I respect the game, not to abused the game… sorry to all gamblers… that’s only my point of view, I hate gambling.

So… I’m wondering what will be football in future? I don’t know… maybe I’ll stop watching it if it’s getting worst… or… I’ll collect all the older days football videos and just watch it… and watch it… and watch it till I die… That’s my respect to older days football legends such as Pele, George Best, Beckenbauer. Maradona, Cruyff, Muller, Klinsmann, John Barnes, Ian Rush, Romario, Platini, Van Basten, B. Charlton, Zico, Cantona, B. Robson, Peter Shmeichel, Mokthar Dahari… etc.

My passion of musics…

June 13th, 2006 by kennyng77

This is about my own passion about the musics… well, I’m a heavy music freak, no matter where I’m going, what I do… I must have musics around me. Tower Records is right with their slogan… ‘No Music No Life’ and this is happen on myself, I can’t live without musics!!!

I started listen to musics since I was 3 years old… don’t get me wrong, not the children or kid songs ok? I only know how to sing children songs when I entered kidnergarden and primary school… Before that most of the songs I listening are classic rocks, chinese oldies, english oldies… all of them are from my grandpa, my father n uncles era’s songs. I found out those oldies really have the true art of musics unlike the modern musics… most of it are too simple and meaningless.

I remember when I was a small kid, when my uncle took out his ‘karpok’ guitar and strum the ‘Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water’, I’ll get excited and so happy until jumping around and then only can sing the ’smoke on the water’ that part… after that I’ll keep asking my uncle to play it again… and again… and again… I think I was born to be ROCK… wakakakaka… But… not really at all, my mom told me I can sing some chinese oldies songs too… I can’t recall how I sang it… must be very terrible, wakakakaka. Although I’m from chinese education school, but I’m very particular of the singers, I only listening to Terresa Teng (Inspired by my Dad), Jacky Cheung, Alan Tam, Sam Hui (Insprired by my uncle) and many more… seriously, none of new chinese singer from late 90’s I can accepted till now. Maybe I’m too old? Wakakakaka… but who cares? That’s my own taste!!!

During primary school time… I remember everyone crazy about ‘Michael Jackson - Beat it’. Then followed by some 80’s famous rock bands such as ACDC, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns n Roses, Skid Row, Poison….. etc. For chinese songs, Alan Tam and Leslie Cheung were always compete each other… then Jacky Cheung started his singing career and I also started like his songs since his 1st album. I remember during primary school will have music class and everyone have to learn ‘recorder’ based on the silibus, the funniest things were I never learn all the silibus but I play all the chinese drama theme songs… my music teacher was so supprised and kick me into school band as one of ‘recorder’ player. After some times… I felt I’m more interested in drum, so I requested to switch to drum. Maybe I got music talent (aheemmm… self praised, don’t know how to feel shy) I was so fast to pickup to play drum and become the captain for drummers. It was so fun when play infront of any big events such as Merdeka Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day (really miss that… coz alot of foods to eat and can play around).

Ok… when reached to secondary school, I totally left out all of music instruments because that school don’t have school band. Then I started active in many kind of sports such as Badminton, Football, Track n Field, Racing Bicycle… but I still never left musics behind me. During that era (early 90’s), there born the ‘boyband’ and pop rock era… New Kids On The Block, Tommy Page, Bryan Adams, Roxette, Ace of Base… etc (Can’t remember so much). For chinese songs, that time was so famous with ‘4 kings’ - Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok… but I never like Andy Lau, Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok (Sorry to their fans). After I left my school life, I totally lost interest with all modern singers, I don’t know why… After school life… I picked up to learn guitar and I still play until now… that’s my only entertainment when I got nothing to do, and now I got 3 guitars!!! hahaha… that’s my best galfirends, wives… (I only become a playboy with guitars).

After millienium… music industries become more commercial, I don’t see any musics which focus on the art of music. Now when I switch on the TV or radio, they only play hip-hop, rap, pop, R&B. Sorry to say I’m not into those kind of musics. What happen to our own government? They always think that rock musics will bring us into unhealthy life? Just because of ‘Black Metal’ and they assume that rock songs are evil’s musics? They think that ‘KISS’ painted their face are devil too? Come on… they never listen into the real musics, just the outlook image and they concluded they are devil or satan? Yes… most rockers have very aggressive image during their show, but you try to figure out their normal life, they are just like us. Maybe few of them over dose of alcohol and drugs… But we are just talking about musics, why must I follow their life style?

If you compare to modern days musics such as hip-hop and rap (sorry if you are hip-hop and rap freak) I think their music videos event worst, always showing off expensive meterials, sexy girls, flirting live style, gangsterism… Now days… I can see lots of youngster follow exactly what they saw in the music videos…so you try to judge on yourself, what is the relationship between pure musics and life styles are they showing? What the F*** they banned rock musics? I really sad to say that now days the people don’t know much about the art of musics. Maybe I’m wrong… maybe not… you try to judge yourself, now days most music instruments are electronic and advance, you just need abit of the talent then you can play it well. Compare to old days, everything are analog and need lots of skills n talent to play it… try to listen to 60’s n 70’s musics then you try to play it with the same instruments, I believe the modern days musician can’t play it well.

Finally…

For those about to rock… I salute u!!!

For those who love oldies… I respect u!!!

For those classic rock band… I pray for u!!!

Cheers to… Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Grand Funk Railroad, SRV, Eric Clapton, ACDC, Aerosmith, Dream Theater, Free, Bad Company, CCR, Damn Yankees, Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Dire Straits, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Extreme, Europe, Gary Moore, Peter Frampton, Jeff Beck, Guns n Roses, Iron Maiden, Journey, Kansas, America, KISS, Metallica, Mr. Big, Nazareth, Procol Harum, The Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Roy Buchanan, Skid Row, Tenecious D, Tesla, The Allman Brothers Band, The Beatles, The Rainbow, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Band, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, U2, Yngwie Malmsteen, ZZ Top…. and many more…

Rock n Roll at Backyard Pub…

June 6th, 2006 by kennyng77

jeng jeng jengggggggggg…..

It’s thursday night again, as usual… after my badminton game, have some drinks and listen to live music (rock n roll only) is my most enjoyable moment.

But… this could be end of my rock n roll night at Backyard Pub for some time after I heard that my favorite band (Viji and friends) are going to take a long break… that’s damn sad for me :(

I started to know this band about 2 years ago, that time only two men (Viji & Fasy) performing on the stage. After that a bassist (Edmund) join the band who made the music more powerful… Early this year, Fasy and his band went to UK for Emergenza unsigned live band competition, they manage to get into final and will play by end of June 06. Good luck to Fasy and I tell u all ah… his guitar work really damn hell good and can’t find it in local. You can visit to www.fasylive.com to read his lastest news.

Ok… during Fasy was not around, Julian Mokthar took over his place to play with Viji. Julian is one of famous guitarist in Malaysia… but sorry to say…I still prefer to see Fasy plays.

On the final night, the theme for night was 70’s Rock with Viji and Friends… me and my old folk went earlier to grab a nice place to sit. About 10pm, the show begins… jeng jeng jeng…. Julian Mokthar plays the 1st set, it’s like a warming up of the show… but was great! Then suddenly… when came to 2nd set… gosh!!!!! Amir Yusof turned up… I know his songs will potong my stim (killed off my mood) away… 1st songs was ok… still can stand… then 2nd song… again… same kind of music, I was really sleepy that moment… Sorry Amir, I know you are a good musician but I don’t like those kind of music.

Alright… there goes the final set of the night… Fasy and the band!!! They started with ACDC - Highway to Hell… damn hell rock man!!! That moment I was damn happy till going to cry… I was thinking… finally ROCK N ROLL is alive!!! The high moment keep on going… suddenly here come the Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water… and Julian also can’t resist his itchy fingers… he went up to the stage, grab his signature home made guitar and jamming together… the guitar solo was damn great! Both of them show their best… I never watch this kind of jamming for years!!! Finally I saw it and it was really into 70’s style jamming, they just ‘hentam’ as they like… the whole pub was so happening… the drummer also started did his drum solo… fuahhhhhh!!!!!!! I tell you, beh tahan! I was so happy till cry…

End of the show… they are almost step down… I was shouting 1 MORE!!! Then everyone in the pub also shouting… 1 MORE!!! Fasy look at me and smile… and said okok… then I shouted again play The Messiah Will Come Again!!! Everyone also cheer on it… so he started… damn… I tell u, this song really makes me cry… that is his trademark song, so emotion… so touching… arrghhhh!!!!!! Really better than original version… I don’t know how to explain here… I just can say without this ending song… I won’t go home!!!

So… end of the show… all slowly going home… and… I was so hard feeling to leave… I just can wish Viji all the best, he said will give me call soon. Then I went to wish Fasy good luck for his final in UK… hope he can make it and go into grand final (Metallica might jamming with grand final bands).

I really miss that moment… that was the best ever jamming session I ever seen… the next day… my ear felt like going to deaf… coz I was sitting too near to speakers n drum set… hahaha… alright, that’s all about rock n roll in Backyard Pub…

For those about to rock… we salute u!!!! jeng jeng jengggggggggggggggg~~~~~~~

For 70’s Babies…

May 30th, 2006 by kennyng77

Well… this will be my 1st blog ever in my life… wakakakaka what an old man only started with this ‘eat too full and got nothing to do’ stuff.

Okies… here is my article which I read it from an email by my old friend.

For your reading pleasure… some might be true.
Hope you will all enjoy reading it. This might bring you back the old memory especially during those school days…..

Signs that you are a 70s’ baby:
You grew up watching G-Force, He-man, Transformers, Thundercats, Silver Hawk, Woody Woodpecker, Chipmunks, Popeye, Tom n Jerry and Mickey Mouse.
Not to forget Ninja Turtles, Mask, Smurfs and Voltron too.

Girls watched Japanese cartoon like My Little Pony, "Xiao Tian Tian", "Hua Xian Zi" etc.

You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in primary school after recess time.

You squatted by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brushed your teeth with a colourful mug.

Remember the days when the school nurse, comes with a list for the dentist appointment, the sound of the drilling when your friend has a fill in his tooth.

You remember the packets of milk we get in primary school to encourage us to drink more milk. (It is only cost 30 cent per pack)

In secondary school, girls go to the library to borrow their favourite romance storybook.

In secondary school, girls altered their school skirt to shorten it and guys will go to the school appointed school uniform tailor shop to tailor make their school trousers to the then fashionable "baggy pants"!

During primary school days, the teacher will punish you using a ruler to hit your palm.

A bowl of noodles soup cost only 20 - 30 cent in primary school days.

When you were in primary school, girls like to go to the bookshop to buy cute stuff such as animal erasers, various shape sharpeners, colourful notebook etc. Boys will combed their hair into "karipup" hairstyle.

Hankyu Jaya, Yaohan departmental stores used to be a favourite hangout for families during weekends.

In secondary school days, you buy the Bata BM Turbo or Pallas Jazz school shoes. Some guys like to wear those china made ankle high shoes. Some even like to wear those very thick socks with their school shoes.

Internet? E-mail? What the hell is that?

So you thought a decade or more ago, your friends don’t have pagers or handphones in school.

CDs? What’s that? Cassette tapes were the norm. Movie tickets used to cost less than $5 last time.

The goodies from Mama shop used to be Chickerdis, Mamee , Kum Kum, UFO, O-Ya, Ding Dang chocolate balls with toys in the box, colourful hard "egg", "cigerette" bubble gum, KIKI Bubble Gum, pink bottle of bubbles c/w a small tubes with yellow sticks to blow "more lasting" bubbles that you can pop more air in or slam it on.

You never forget ‘Ti Kam’. When exams are over, the board games ( e.g Monopoly, Donkey, Transportation Comparison Card) & held ! video games will be all over the class room.

Your favourite sound is the bell! For it’s the homemade ice cream man. The cream that tops Haagan Dazs!

And the other peddler you love is the old lady w! ho sells juicy Muah Chee and thick olden syrup rolled in a balloon the tip of a chopstick stick.

Another bell is the recess bell, a time to get away from school work and to eat.

Another time when there is no bell but all guys will anxiously wait for it…The PJ (Pendidikan Jasmani), PE time (time for football)

Your favourite childhood games were playing "guli"(marbles), fly kite, gasing (top), five stones, five bottle cover, zero-point, catching,"Pepsi-Cola one two three" and/or "Police & Sentry"!

The best thirst quencher of all times is the yummy colourful ice tubes you can buy from provision shops for only 10 cent. To eat them, break the tab and suck while holding the freezing tube!

All gals have a girl doll/strawberry shortcake/my little pony/pound puppy, while all boys have a soldiers figurine (combat) or a rubber band catapult that shoots folded paper!

Once was the era whereby ice-cream sticks were valueable items, then came the paper aircrafts, chalk fights.

Some boys made their own guns from wood, and used ‘Bacali’ as the bullets.

Some even used matches to shoot and burn kids’ lanterns during MoonCake Festival.

And your favourite holiday was Lunar New Year! New clothes, Ang Pows, shopping, junk food and family outings!

Let’s see, the majority of students in universities today were born in 1987 / 88…. They are called "youth".

For them, they have never heard of the song "We are the World, we are the Children…" And the "Uptown Girl" they know is by ‘Westlife’ but not ‘Billy Joel’.

For them, there have always been only one Germany and only one Vietnam.

AIDS exists since they were born.

CD exists since they were born.

Michael Jackson is already whitened.

John Travolta is always round in shape and they can’t imagine how this fat guy could be a god of dance.

They believe that Spiderman and Incredible Hulk are just new films.

They can never imagine a black and white screen for a computer.

They never know what is Atari or ‘Game & Watch’.

They never know Malaysian money was in $ before, they only know is RM.

They can’t believe a black and white television ever existed and they don’t even know how to switch on a TV without a remote control.

And they never understand how we can go out without a mobile phone when we were in university…

Let’s check if we’re getting old…

1. You understand what was written above and you smile.

2. Most of your secondary school friends are getting married.

3. You are always surprised to see small children playing comfortably with computer.

4. When you see teenagers with mobile phones, you shake your head.

5. You spend less and less time talking on phone with your friends daily.

6. When you meet your old friends from time to time, talking about the good old days, repeating again and again all funny stories you experienced together.

7. Lastly, having read this mail, you are thinking of forwarding it to some other old friends. You think they will like it too…..

Hahaha!…. Yes! We are getting old too………..

Brings back old memories huh?

Cheers to the 70s babies!!!
